Sending Messages Through the Coordinator Dashboard
Communicating with class members is an important part of leading a successful Financial Peace University class. The Coordinator Dashboard includes messaging tools that allow you to send announcements, reminders, and other class-related communications directly to your participants.
This article explains how messaging works, who can receive messages, available message types, and important details to know before sending communications.
Send a Message to Your Class
To send a message from your Coordinator Dashboard:
- Sign in to your Coordinator Dashboard.
- Select the class you'd like to manage.
- Click the Message tab.
- Compose a new message or select an existing template.
- Select the appropriate recipients.
- Click Send Message.
Once sent, recipients will receive the message through the delivery method associated with their account and notification settings.
Using Message Templates
The Dashboard provides pre-built message templates to help you communicate common updates more efficiently.
Templates can be useful for:
- Weekly class reminders
- Welcome messages
- Session follow-ups
- Event announcements
- Last-minute schedule changes
You can review the template content before sending to ensure it matches your class needs.
Best Practices for Class Communication
To help keep participants engaged:
- Send reminders 24–48 hours before each class meeting.
- Communicate schedule changes as soon as possible.
- Keep messages short and easy to scan.
- Include important dates, times, and locations when relevant.
- Avoid sending excessive messages that could cause participants to ignore future communications.
- Review your message before sending to confirm accuracy.
Regular communication helps participants stay informed and connected throughout the course.
Message Delivery Expectations
After a message is sent:
- Delivery timing may vary slightly depending on the recipient's notification settings.
- Participants must have valid contact information associated with their account to receive communications.
- Coordinators cannot force delivery if a participant has disabled certain notifications.
- Sent messages cannot be recalled after delivery.
If a participant reports not receiving a message, ask them to verify their account information and notification preferences.
