When couples join Financial Peace University, they can participate together - but there are a few important things to understand about how spouses are set up in the system.

Key Things to Know
Households only need one membership
- One membership covers both spouses
- You only need to send one email invitation per household
Spouses are added through the member's account (not the admin dashboard)
- Once one spouse is added to your class, they are responsible for adding their spouse to their account.
- This is called a Household
Adding a spouse does NOT automatically add them to the class roster.
- A spouse can be connected to an account but still not appear in your class.
How Members Add Their Spouse (Household Setup)
You can share these steps with your class members:
- Go to fpu.com/member and log in
- Click their initials in the top right
- Select My Ramsey Account
- In the Household section, click Manage Household and then click +Add Spouse
- Enter spouse's name and click Save
- Choose Invite Spouse and enter their email
- The spouse accepts the invitation
Once accepted, both spouses are connected under one household.
How to Get a Spouse on Your Class Roster
If you want both spouses to appear in your class roster:
- The registered member should log in at fpu.com/member
- Go to the My Class section
- Click the three dots next to their class information
- Select Add Spouse
- Enter the spouse’s information and save
Once added:
- Both spouses will appear together on the same line in the Attendance chart
- Both can receive messages sent through the Coordinator Dashboard
Common Questions
Why do spouses sometimes appear as one person?
Because they are connected under a single household membership
Do spouses share a login?
No - each spouse has their own login, even though they share a membership
Why isn't the spouse showing in my roster?
Most likely:
- They were added to the household but were never added to the class
- They haven't completed account setup yet
